The intent of this course is to give real estate professionals in the State of Iowa all 24 hours of elective education required for renewal of a license.
The course will discuss mathematics and the calculations that are commonly performed by real estate professionals.
The course content will examine fair housing and fair housing legislation. This will include a look at the Fair Housing Act along with other important fair housing regulations. This will also contain a look at the process for reporting fair housing violations.
This course will talk about ethics and what it means to act in an ethical manner.
The course will address common errors and omissions that may be committed by real estate professionals. Additionally, this topic will contain a look at strategies that can be used to deal with errors and omissions.
The course will explore contracts, contract formation, and contract termination. This topic will look at contracts from a general perspective and will examine the contracts used to form agency relationships, list property, and to sell property.
This course will discuss how the title to a piece of real property is transferred from person to person.
The course will cover mortgage loans and mortgage lending. This topic will explore the different types of mortgage loans and government loan assistance programs. This topic will also talk about the TILA-RESPA Rule and the disclosure forms that were implemented by that rule.
In order to help students with retention of the material, the course will end with a comprehensive final exam.
