Maine law requires all real estate sales to be completed under the supervision of the agency's designated broker, in whom is assigned responsibility for everyone in the company, licensed and unlicensed. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, Maine requires training in the relevant statutes and rules, including those Title 32, Chapter 114, the Real Estate Brokerage License Act. The course is divided into two parts: Part 1 explores the designated broker's legal responsibilities and duties as defined by Title 32, Chapter 114; Part 2 is an interactive discussion of designated broker duties, incorporating hypothetical situations, case studies, small group exercises, and other learning tools.
